Our History

Originally from Paris, a Fashion Designer and Interior Designer, but also passionate about food, my husband and I fell in love with the Dordogne region, its unspoilt beauty, magnificent villages, numerous castles, the culture, the vineyards ... and the local gastronomy. The Domaine du Charlat is a unique place which seduced us immediately with its old stone buildings, its calmness and beauty.

We were particularly taken with the houses, every little improvement which breathes new life into these forgotten places fills us with happiness.

It is a great pleasure for us to be able to share this with our guests, a real haven of peace and tranquility where you can feel relaxed, an invitation to remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of city life - to relax and recharge your batteries - an opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of your surroundings, a rare luxury.

Our great wish is for you to have an unforgettable stay in our homes which have been renovated with love.

Jean Michel and Caroline
